The review

If there’s one thing that all readers have in common, it is that we all have at least one comfort book. A book that might be average at best or has some of the worst characters you have ever read in your life, yet for some odd reason, you love it. You reread this book a million times, scowl at the moments the character does the opposite of what you want, and then you get emotional at the ¾ mark of the book as if you do not already know what the next chapter contains. It is your comfort book. After is my comfort book. If you have already read this series, then I can imagine what you are probably thinking, and trust me, I know. I know this series does not contain the best bunch of books out there, and I know without a doubt if I were to read the series for the first time now at 25, I probably would not get past the first book. But I think that’s the thing about a comfort book. If you originally read it at a time when your life was upside down, it sticks with you. I first read this series at 17 years old, a time when I needed a perfect distraction, and these books provided me with that. I was “imaginator1D” the biggest fan on Wattpad, so the second these books were published, I bought them all and reread them more times than I can count.

When it comes to rating these books, I cannot do that. My star rating would be extremely bias and not offer a mature perspective. However, I will say that I recommend these books to people from the ages 17-22. Once you’re past this age group, I think it will be slightly difficult to like these characters because truthfully, their love life is a complete toxic mess. And not the mafia type of toxic, the type where two college students do a bunch of dramatics and then break up to get back together and then repeat the cycle a million times. At 25 this book is a turn-off, but at 17, it is possible that you will like it as much as I did. Regardless, these books still hold a special place in my heart, and I am grateful for the comfort it provided me when I needed it the most.

Who should read this book?

If you have a thing for the bad boy falling for the good girl and college love triangles, this book is definitely for you.

Who shouldn’t read this book?

If you’re looking for quick resolutions or open communication, do not even open this book.
